Can I use another Mac as a second monitor?
Yes. Use a compatible MacBook, iMac, or spare Mac as extra desktop space for documents, messages, videos, dashboards, or reference material.
Does BeyondDisplay extend the desktop or mirror another Mac?
Both modes are supported. Extend mode adds workspace like a second monitor. Mirror mode shows another Mac so you can view and operate it from a different Mac.
What do I need to use BeyondDisplay?
You need two Macs running macOS 12.3 or later, with BeyondDisplay installed on both Macs.
Do I need an account, internet, or the same Apple ID?
No. BeyondDisplay does not require a login, an internet connection, or the same Apple ID on both Macs.
Can I connect the two Macs wired or wirelessly?
Yes. Use the same Wi-Fi network, the same Ethernet network, or a direct Thunderbolt connection with Thunderbolt Bridge.
Is BeyondDisplay free?
