Share One Keyboard and Mouse Between Windows and Mac

Move the pointer across the edge of one screen to control the computer beside it. DeskJoin Control connects your Windows PC and Mac over the same local network—without a hardware KVM or a specific brand of mouse.

Download DeskJoin Control

Windows on one side. Mac on the other.

Install DeskJoin Control on both computers, pair them with a matching six-digit code, and set whether the other computer is to your left or right. Push the pointer through the joined edge and the keyboard, mouse buttons, scrolling, and pointer movement switch to the other computer.

Move back through the matching edge to return. Each computer keeps running its own apps on its own display.

Connect the two sides of your desk

  1. 01

    Install on both computers

Download the Windows version for your PC and the macOS version for your Apple silicon Mac. Open DeskJoin Control on both.

  2. 02

    Use the same local network

Connect the PC and Mac to the same trusted Wi-Fi or Ethernet network and allow local-network communication.

  3. 03

    Allow Mac control

On macOS, allow Accessibility access so DeskJoin Control can send pointer and keyboard input. Allow Local Network access if prompted.

  4. 04

    Pair Windows and Mac

Choose the nearby computer in DeskJoin Control. Confirm that the six-digit pairing code is the same on both computers.

  5. 05

    Choose left or right

Match the arrangement on your desk. Move the pointer through the joined screen edge to switch computers, then move back to return.

Keep both displays. Lose the extra keyboard and mouse.

No special hardware

Use the keyboard, mouse, or trackpad already connected to one computer. No USB switch or brand-specific peripheral is required.

Windows and macOS together

Move directly between the two operating systems while each computer continues running independently.

Local connection

Input travels directly between the paired computers on your local network. No DeskJoin product account is required.

Focused and free

DeskJoin Control 1.0 focuses on pointer and keyboard control and is free for supported Windows and macOS computers.

Input moves. The screens do not.

DeskJoin Control sends pointer movement, clicks, scrolling, keyboard input, and modifier keys to the selected computer. It does not stream video or turn one computer into an extra monitor.

For an extended or mirrored display, use DeskJoin Screen. To copy and paste text, images, files, and folders between devices, use DeskJoin Clipboard.

Use a trusted local network. Pairing and reliable control messages use mutual TLS 1.2. Low-latency pointer movement and scrolling use session-bound UDP that is validated but not encrypted.
