Nearby sharing workflow
AirDrop and Quick Share are sender-and-recipient tools. You choose an item and destination, and the receiving device may ask someone to accept it.
Device combinations
AirDrop connects Apple devices. Quick Share primarily connects Android and Windows. Logitech Flow and DeskJoin Clipboard both support a Windows-and-Mac desk, with different hardware requirements.

Clipboard and nearby sharing FAQ
Does AirDrop work between Windows and Mac?
No. AirDrop is designed for nearby Apple devices such as Mac, iPhone, and iPad. It does not provide a Windows app.
Can Logitech Flow copy and paste between Windows and Mac?
Yes. Logitech Flow can copy text, images, and files between Windows and Mac computers. It requires Logi Options+ on both computers and a compatible Flow mouse paired with them.
Does Google Quick Share support Mac?
Google's Quick Share app is designed primarily for nearby transfers between Android devices, Chromebooks, and supported Windows PCs. Google does not provide a general Quick Share app for macOS.
How is DeskJoin Clipboard different?
DeskJoin Clipboard focuses on sharing clipboard content between Windows and macOS computers without requiring a particular brand of mouse. After connecting on the local network, you copy on one computer and paste on the other.
